Restrictions

In some people when yarrow comes in contact with the skin, it might cause irritation. Yarrow products that contain thujone are not safe to take. This product must be used with care, since it causes bleeding and has a slow blood clotting procedure.

Side effects

May cause allergic reaction in some sensitive people. Stop taking yarrow at least 2 weeks before surgery, since it slows blood clotting.

Drug interactions

Medication that slows blood clotting interact with Yarrow. Lithium interacts with Yarrow. Sedative medication interacts with Yarrow. Antacids interact with Yarrow, therefore you must not take Yarrow with the mentioned products.

Pregnancy and lactation

It is unsafe during pregnancy and may cause miscarriage. For breast feeding there is not enough reliable information, so stay on the safe side and avoid use.
