Restrictions

Although a few people may be allergic to chamomile, it is safe for most people to drink with no restrictions. Do not take chamomile if you are allergic to it. Keep out of reach of children.

Side effects

Negative side effects are extremely rare. Some allergies to chamomile may occur in people who are allergic to plants in the daisy family, such as rage wood and chrysanthemums. Cosmetic products that contain chamomile may be irritating to the eyes if they make direct contact with them. Contact dermatitis / Skin reactions may occur. Hypersensitivity reactions and vomiting may also occur.

Pregnancy and lactation

Safety of drinking chamomile tea has not been established in young children, pregnant or nursing women and people with liver or kidney diseases. Avoid use of chamomile during pregnancy. There is no information available about use of chamomile while breast feeding. Consult your doctor.

Drug interactions

Chamomile has no severe, serious, moderate, or mild interactions with other drugs.

Dosage

Swish orally and swallow three times daily, use 10-15 drops liquid extract. For dyspepsia use 1 ml orally three times daily. As tea, one cup orally three times daily. Apply 3-10% ointment /gel as needed. In case of overdose, get medical help.
