    Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world and has been valued for its' medical properties since ancient times. Harvested from Crocus Sativus flower. anti oxidant, anti depressant, anti cancer, reduces PMS symptoms, aphrodisiac, weight loss and reduces heart disease.

    Each pack contains 3 gr (0.006 lb) Organic Saffron.


    Saffron is costly because of it's labor-intensive harvesting method. Lowers blood sugar level and improves eye sight.

    Risks and side effects

    Saffron is generally safe with little to no side effects. In standard cooking amounts, saffron does not appear to cause adverse effects in humans.


    People can safely take up to 1.5 gr of saffron per day. Only 30 mg of saffron per day have been shown to be enough to reap its' health benefits. High doses of 5 gr or more can have toxic effects. Speak to your doctor before taking saffron in supplement form.

    Pregnancy and breast feeding

    Pregnant women should avoid high doses, as it may cause miscarriage. There are no restrictions for breast feeding mothers on this product.

    Instructions and how to use

    Saffron powder may be adultered with other ingredients, such as beet, red-dyed silk fibers, turmeric and paprika. Adulteration cuts cost for manufacturers, as real saffron is expensive to harvest. It's important to purchase saffron from a reputable brand to ensure you set an authentic product. If the saffron appears too cheap, it's best to avoid. Tea is also used and steeped. The best way to draw out it's unique flavor is to soak the threads in hot water, not boiling water. Add the threads and the liquid to your recipe to achieve a deeper, richer flavor.
