Also known as Whey Sauce, it is formed by drained yogurt or drained sour milk that has been let to dry. It can be made in a variety of forms, including rolled into balls, sliced into strips, and formed into chunks, sometimes salted and is used in Tajik, Armenia, Afghan and Iranian cuisine. It contains 55%-75% protein and is used for weight loss and decreasing appetite.

Culinary use

Drug Interaction
Anti biotics that might interact with Kashk protein include ciprofloxacin (Cipro), enoxacin (Penetrex), norfloxacin (Chibroxin, Noroxin), sparfloxacin (Zagam), trovafloxacin (Trovan), and grepafloxacin (Raxar).

Only use of 50 grams of Kashk provides 100% of the daily requirement of pregnant and lactating mothers for calcium. No restrictions of any kind exist at this stage.
